At christmas we go skiing and snowboarding. All the mountains have snow!
The 24th December is our favorite day because we have dinner with all the family and in the morning of the 25th December we take the presents and we go out.
On Christmas we do a lot of things, we go to other places and we meet our friends.
On the day of the Three Wise Men is a friend´s birthday, so we have a party, it is a really especial day.

In the afternoon, I go with my father and my sister to my granfather 's house. Later my uncle and my aunt also come to my grandfather's house.
At night, Olentzero cames to my house with the presents for my parents and me!

CHRISTMAS

We love christmas, because we are on holidays, and we have a lot of presents.
Our fauvorite days are the 24th, 31st December and the 6th of January.
The 31st: We like this day, because at night we play with the fireworks.
The 24th and 6th January:We like these days because we have a lot of presents.
But we hate the 9th January because the school is about to start again.
In christams some of us are going skiing, others go on holidays. That's beautiful. We like "turron" so we eat a lot, but we don't get fat. Why? We don't know why! and that's the best!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

EXTRA WORK TO GET POSITIVE POINTS FOR THE 2nd TERM!

Hi students!

How are you doing? I guess you are feeling great knowing that a long weekend is waiting for you!

So, as I don´t want you to get bored, here you are some easy task to do in exchange of positive points!

I imagine you all love music, but, I´m sure not all of you like the same kind of music, the same singers, songs and so on.

Why don´t you write a few lines about a song you find amazing, a group or a singer?

Then, I will take your comments into account and I will try to prepare listening activities with those songs you like most, I think this can be fun!

Now, I leave you the song we listened to on Monday in class 2.B and that we are going to listen to today in class 2.A. WHAT MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL is a rather new song, by a boy band called ONE DIRECTION. This is a really positive song that can cheer us up in these gloomy days! don´t you think so?

Enjoy it!!!

And remember, if you want positive points write a comment on this post telling me about a song, a group or a singer you like!!! You´ve got till tuesday for that! ;)

Have fun!

My favourite TV programme

I like American TV programmes like "Cita con mamá" in MTV, but my favourite TV programme is El Barco and it´s Spanish. El Barco is a very interesting TV programme. There are love, funny and scare scenes.
It is about people who are on a boat and they are alone in the world.(they think that).
The protagonist are Mario Casas, Blanca Suarez... I love Mario Casas because he does lots of things and he also is very sexy.
I love Blanca Suarez too, she is a very good actress and she always does funny and interesting things.
In my opinion El Barco is the best TV programme and I recommend it to people. They need to watch because it´s amazing.

Your face sounds familiar

My favourite TV programme is your face sounds familiar (Tu cara me suena). Is a mixture of reality show and music programme. The presenter is Manel Fuentes and the jury are Angel Llacer, Monica Naranjo, Carolina Cerezuela, Carlos Latre and usually a guest star. The channel of this programme is antena 3 and the programme starts on Wednesdays at half past ten.

The rules are these:

There are 8 participants:
-Angy Fernandez
-Carolina Ferre
-Francisco González
-Josema Yuste
-Julio Iglesias, Jr.
-Santiago Segura
-Sylvia Pantoja
-Toñi Salazar

They have to imitate singers. There are galas and the winner of each gala, takes 3.000€ for charity.

In my opinion this programme is very funny and very musical. And the best is that it is for all the family!

Our interview with Mailen Escribano, PART 1

Last Monday, 14th November, Amaia Escribano´s sister, Maialen, came to Manteo and visited our class. Maialen is 22 and has studied journalism in Barcelona, where she is currently living and studying a master´s degree.

As we wanted to know more about the job, studies and life of this amazing girl, we prepared some questions for her and played the role of interviewers with great success!

You can enjoy our interview and the pictures we took with her here:

Mattin: Do you like your job? Do you travel a lot?

Maialen: Actually, I haven’t started working yet, I’m doing a master in Girona, to specialize in Radio. And, no, I don’t travel a lot.

Tamara: Have you ever met a famous person?

M: Yes, Rafa Nadal. I made him an interview for one of my subjects at university. He is really nice.

Aitor: What was your first job?

M: I worked in Don Huevone when I was 18.

Amaia C.: what age were you when you started studying your degree?

M: I was 18.

Sara: What are you studying now?

M: I’m studying a master on Radio and, apart from that; I’m improving my English and Italian.

Julia: Have you studied abroad?

M: Yes, I did an Erasmus and I spent 6 months in Pisa, Italy.

Ainhoa: Do you have a husband?

M: No, I don’t, and, by the way, I don’t believe in marriage.

Ander: why have you studied journalism?

M: Well, when I was seven, all I wanted to be was a hairdresser. But, then, there was a lice crisis in school and I changed my mind and became interested in journalism.

Irati: Do you think university is very difficult?

M: No, if you choose what you like it isn’t difficult. I think you should study something you like.

Gerardo: do you get on well with your sister Amaia?

M: Yes, I have a very good relationship both with my sister and my brother.

Anthony: Would you like to appear on a TV programme?

M: I prefer radio, that’s why I am studying for that, but I wouldn’t mind.

Ramon: Do you identify yourself with Sara Carbonero?

M: No, I don’t. she works on TV and I prefer radio.

Minerva: Inside the world of journalism, which is your favourite field: spots, interviews, gossip or the news?

M: I prefer the news, which are objective or also something related to culture and art. I don’t like the field of entertainment, that’s not journalism, it’s just for fun.

Asier: Who is your favourite journalist?

M: I haven’t got one. Maybe my aunt, who is a journalist and works on ETB.

Beñat: What are your hobbies?

M: Listening to music, going to the cinema and going out with my friend.

Mikel: When you were a child, did you want to be a journalist?

M: No, as I have explained before, at first I wanted to be a hairdresser.

Marina: How did you feel when you went to Barcelona?

M: I felt great, I was very happy and made friends really soon.

Aritz: Do you have time to meet your friends?

M: Yes, of course.

M: Yes, but the same happens in every field. We are in crisis.

Ramon: Do you think pretty girls have more opportunities?

M: Yes, and even more when it is for TV.

Amaia C.: Do you prefer studying here or in BCN?

M: I prefer BCN because the university there is more prestigious. As for the price, it is the same as both are state universities.

Mattin: Do you have a house in BCN?

M: No, I have rented one with two friends of mine.

Marina: When I grow up I would like to be a journalist, do you recommend it?

M: Yes, of course. Now I have applied for a job in a radio station, in 40 principales, in order to get experience.

Lorena: In the future, where would you like to live?

M: In Donosti.

Minerva: Who would you choose first, someone with a degree or someone without a degree?

Halloween

Halloween is a great day for parties. Children dress up as mummies, vampires... Then, they go from house to house playing TRICK or TREAT.

Halloween means Hallows´ Evening. It is the evening before All Hallows´ Day, a Christian holiday, celebrated on the 1st of Novenber. Celtic peoples celebrate the festival of Shamhuinn, which marked the begining of winter and the Celtic New Year.

I like halloween because I love dressing up as witches, vampires...

At the evening we go from house to house, beggining for sweets. Inded, that´s the origin of TRICK or TREAT.
